DM Engineering Ltd is a family-run precision engineering company based in Maryport, Cumbria. As an ISO 9001 certified company, we take great pride in delivering a range of mechanical engineering services to our customers. Our machinery encompasses both high-volume production and heavy-duty capabilities, empowering us to manufacture anything from large bespoke parts to mass-produced precision components. Using the latest CAD/CAM software, we ensure optimal accuracy and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Our well-equipped machine shop boasts a wide array of Manual and CNC Lathes and Milling machines, enabling us to offer a capable and dependable precision machining service, giving a maximum turning capacity of 700mm diameter and 2500mm length, while our milling capacity reaches an impressive 1800mm x 800mm travel with a load limit of 3500kg.

We have over 40 years’ experience in manufacturing and refurbishing Press Tooling and other bespoke equipment, where high tolerances are achieved using our Jones & Shipman Surface Grinders, and Tool and Cutter Grinders. Additionally, we offer Fitting and Assembly services, encompassing the assembly of trial builds and mock-ups in our 800m2 workshop. Our skilled team also provides on-site breakdown repairs, routine maintenance, refurbishment and installation of new machinery.
